Senior Associate, Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel, Managing Associate, Practice Lead, Head of Legal, or Legal Operations Manager. .. Key Responsibilities. Provide practical legal advice to stakeholders and/or clients across commercial and operational matters . Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents (e.g., commercial agreements, NDAs, supplier terms, service agreements) . Manage and progress matters in areas such as corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, disputes, property, procurement, compliance, privacy, or governance (aligned to experience) . Support dispute resolution activity, including pre-action strategy, liaison with external counsel, and case management . Contribute to compliance programmes and internal policies, including monitoring of regulatory changes and controls . Assist with risk assessments and recommendations to reduce legal and commercial exposure . Maintain accurate records, matter documentation, and reporting aligned to confidentiality and data protection expectations . Partner with internal teams (e.g., HR, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations) to improve legal processes and decision-making . Support process improvement initiatives (e.g., contract playbooks, clause libraries, workflow automation, template governance) . Mentor junior colleagues and promote consistent quality standards across the function. Qualifications (role-dependent):. . For solicitor roles: . Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland as relevant). , typically with strong post-qualification experience . For barrister or advocate pathways: relevant professional qualification and practice experience (where applicable) . Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and risk-based decision-making skills . Familiarity with commonly used legal systems/tools (where relevant), such as . document management systems, matter management, e-billing, CLM platforms, and Microsoft 365. .
