We are looking for someone that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes over the next 6-12 months.. Mission: . To protect the company’s interests by building a scalable legal infrastructure, harmonising global contracts, and serving as a trusted, pragmatic coordinator for sensitive matters.. Outcomes: . Global employment harmonisation. Review and harmonise employment and contractor agreements across all operating jurisdictions to ensure consistency in company standards while maintaining local compliance. Collaborate with local counsel where necessary to ensure all "borderless" or remote working arrangements are legally robust and tax-compliant. Dispute resolution & escalation management. Act as the primary point of contact for high-priority client and staff escalations, ensuring that solutions are resolved in a timely and pragmatic manner. Develop a standard "Incident Response" framework for common situations to ensure consistent handling across the business. Legal playbook & systems. Design and implement a "Legal Playbook" for the Sales and Operations teams, detailing standard fallback positions, negotiation scripts, and clear escalation triggers. Introduce a centralized contract management system or repository to ensure version control and easy access to executed agreements. Commercial agreement optimisation. Conduct a comprehensive audit of all existing commercial templates (Partnership Agreements, Customer Agreements, NDAs). Redraft and improve core templates to ensure they are market-leading, protect the company’s IP, and minimize negotiation friction. HR partnership. Serve as the lead legal advisor to the HR department on sensitive employment matters, including performance management, terminations, and workplace grievances. Ensure all internal HR policies are updated annually to reflect changing labor laws in each market, minimising the risk of compliance claims. Stakeholder collaboration. Build strong working relationships with CEO, Chief of Staff, and department heads to understand business needs and provide proactive legal support. Serve as the bridge between external legal counsel and internal teams, managing advisor relationships efficiently. To do this you will have: . Top-tier foundation: Experience at a top-tier law firm, providing a high level of technical rigor and attention to detail. In-house versatility: Experience in an in-house environment, ideally within a fast-growing company, demonstrating the ability to balance legal risk with commercial speed. Multi-jurisdictional exposure: Experience managing legal matters across multiple regions or countries (preferably Southeast Asia). Employment law expertise: Strong familiarity with handling sensitive employee relations and contract harmonization.
