Mid-Level Speech Scientist/ Engineer at Omilia. We are currently growing rapidly, delivering conversational self service projects across 30 countries. We are seeking people with studies in Speech Signal processing, Computational Linguistics and/ or Natural Language Processing to join our world-class R&D speech team. . Key Accountabilities:. . Developing, optimizing & deploying state-of-the-art speech solutions:. . . Automatic speech recognition. . Voice activity detection. . Speech enhancement . . . . MSc/Phd degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. . Experience in machine learning, deep learning, speech applications including ASR, VAD, Speech enhancement.. . Extensive experience with speech recognition software such as PyTorch, Kaldi/K2, ESPnet, WeNet,  OpenFST, Whisper. . Knowledge of modern speech recognition technologies: Voice Activity Detection, Automatic Speech Recognition, Speech enhancement (echo canceller (AEC),  background noise reduction (NR)).. . MLOps - AWS experience and cloud deployments (Kubernetes, Docker, Git). . Strong programming ability (Python and optionally C/C++). . . Excellent command of spoken and written English.. . Very good communication skills.. . Ambition, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn, aptitude for analytical and creative thinking, with sharp attention to detail. . . Well-organized for both team and/ or solo assignments.. . Accountable within demanding deadlines.. . Nice to have:. . Experience with customization of ASR solutions. . Experience with end-to-end speech recognition (Connectionist Temporal Classification, RNN Transducer,  attention-based models). . Experience with robust speech recognition in real-life environment. .
