
IT Support Specialist at Silvur. About the Role. As an IT Support Specialist, you will support the staff and contractors of Silvur in our mission to deliver award-winning retirement planning software and experiences. Reporting directly to the head of engineering, you’ll support staff with empathy in both their day-to-day setup and troubleshooting needs, as well as assist leadership with long term planning of IT setup and support strategies to help the organization grow with stability. Excellent communication skills preferred.. Responsibilities. . Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via videoconferencing, phone, email, or chat. . Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. . Set up and configure laptops and peripherals. . Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computers. . Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems. . Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT perspective. . Maintain IT documentation, including procedures and troubleshooting guides in order to maintain Silvur’s compliance. . Monitor and maintain security protocols for end-user devices. . Participate in IT projects, including system rollouts and upgrades. . Escalate complex problems to appropriate internal or external teams when necessary. . Preferred Qualifications. . 2+ years of experience in an IT support or help desk role. . Proficiency with Windows and macOS environments. . Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. . Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. . Strong communication and interpersonal skills. . Empathy for those experience difficulty with computers. . Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. . Company Location: United States.
