We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer, IUM in the United States.. This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on modernizing and scaling an Identity & User Management (IUM) platform. You will drive architectural vision, oversee large-scale migrations, and ensure robust, secure, and high-performance access management across the product ecosystem. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will influence technical and strategic decisions while mentoring peers and shaping engineering culture. Accountabilities. . Architect and lead the implementation of a modern, scalable, and extensible IUM platform.. . Serve as the domain expert for authentication (AuthN), authorization (AuthZ), RBAC, roles, and permissions.. . Define and evangelize the architectural roadmap, gaining alignment across stakeholders and engineering teams.. . Write, review, and maintain high-quality code, establishing best practices in design and implementation.. . Collaborate with product, security, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate IUM capabilities.. . Mentor engineers to elevate technical and domain expertise, fostering a culture of excellence.. . Ensure operational excellence with monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for identity services.. . Design for scalability, multi-tenancy, high concurrency, and evolving permission models.. . Ensure platform security and regulatory compliance (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML).. . . 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 8+ years in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or related domains.. . Deep expertise in authentication, authorization, RBAC, role & permission modeling, and industry standards/protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM).. . Proven experience leading large-scale migrations or architectural overhauls from legacy systems.. . Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Java, C#, Go, or Node.js, and associated frameworks.. . Experience with distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and performance optimization.. . Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.. . Experience influencing architectural direction and achieving consensus across teams.. .
