Product Designer at HomeStory. Product Designer. Contract · 6 months · Full-time · Remote. Most people buy or sell a home once or twice in their life. It’s stressful, expensive, and full of decisions they’ve never had to make before. . HomeStory. exists to make that experience better, by connecting buyers and sellers with great agents and lenders, and putting real cash back in their pockets after closing.. We do that in partnership with some of the biggest banks in the country — Chase, SoFi, Pennymac, Citizens, and others. Which means the products we build touch millions of people going through one of the most significant moments of their lives.. We’re looking for a Product Designer who wants in on that. Not just to execute tickets, but to help shape what HomeStory looks like, how it works, and where it’s going. You’ll sit at the intersection of product strategy, marketing, and user experience — working directly with our team and our bank partners to design things that actually matter.. If you’re early in your career and hungry to grow fast, this is the kind of role that will accelerate you. The stakes are real, the partners are big, and the problems are genuinely hard. You’ll come out of this with a sharper design eye, stronger systems thinking, and work in your portfolio that you’re proud of.. What you’ll do. Product design across HomeStory’s platform — search, agent matching, loan officer tools, homebuyer experiences. Marketing materials, landing pages, and co-branded campaigns for national lender partners. Design research and usability testing to make sure what we’re building actually works. Data visualizations that make complex mortgage and real estate information digestible. Strategic design input on new product initiatives — we want your opinion, not just your output. What we’re looking for. A portfolio that shows you can think through a problem, not just style one. Figma proficiency. Hands-on experience with AI tools: Figma AI, Claude (Cowork / Code), Cursor, or equivalent. Responsive web design experience. Someone who brings a point of view, and can back it up in a room with stakeholders. Thick skin for feedback and a bias toward action. Nice to have:. B2B2C or enterprise product experience, systems and component thinking, prototyping, visual design.. AI-first, for real. We’re not slapping “AI-powered” on our website and calling it a day. AI is embedded in how we build, design, and make decisions across the company. We expect our designers to use these tools as a genuine part of their workflow — to move faster, think bigger, and spend their energy on the problems worth solving.. If you’ve already figured out how to make AI work for you as a designer, you’ll fit right in.. Company Location: United States.
