We’re looking for a Learning & Development Director to lead this mission and transform our virtual workforce into client-ready, results-driven professionals.. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for designing and scaling learning systems that directly support hiring, placement, upskilling, and retention goals across the organization. The right candidate brings a strong operational mindset, deep learning expertise, and a passion for building systems that elevate talent at scale.. This is a full-time, remote independent contractor role based in the Philippines, with flexible shifts based on operational needs.. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Strategic Leadership. . Architect Scale Virtually’s end-to-end learning and development strategy across onboarding, skills development, performance coaching, and career advancement. . Translate business objectives into measurable learning outcomes that support VA placement success, retention, and client satisfaction. . Collaborate with department heads in Client Services, Talent Acquisition, Training, and Process Engineering to integrate learning and development into our core operating model. . . Program Design and Delivery. . Oversee the design and rollout of structured training tracks for Virtual Assistants, Coaches, Team Leads, and internal teams across various verticals including Admin, Sales, and Creative. . Build scalable, remote-first learning programs including asynchronous modules, SOP-based instruction, live coaching, and role-specific simulations. . Standardize and continuously refine the onboarding experience to ensure new hires are client-ready within the first 10 to 14 days. . . Performance and Data-Driven Execution. . Own training performance metrics including completion rate, time-to-productivity, pass-fail rates, QA scores, placement conversion, and feedback scores. . Establish a framework to identify skill gaps and upskill underperformers through individualized learning plans and certification tracks. . Collaborate with Operations and QA to close feedback loops between client expectations, placement outcomes, and training performance. . Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Alignment. . Lead and mentor a high-performing learning and development team responsible for curriculum creation, delivery, and continuous improvement. . Partner with Talent Acquisition and Client Services to forecast training volume, align hiring with curriculum capacity, and streamline readiness pipelines. . Serve as a senior voice on strategic initiatives related to talent lifecycle, career pathways, and workforce optimization. . . Innovation and Technology. . Maximize adoption of training tools such as LMS, Notion, Slack, Asana, and Google Suite to centralize knowledge and increase learning engagement. . Evaluate and implement new technologies and instructional approaches that support adaptive learning and real-time performance coaching. . Manage training-related vendor partnerships, external certifications, and licensing as needed. . . . Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, HR, Education, or Business preferred. Master’s degree or certifications such as ATD, SHRM, or CPTM are a strong plus. . Five or more years in senior-level learning and development roles, with at least three years managing remote or distributed teams. . Demonstrated ability to build and scale training programs that drive performance, productivity, and retention. . Strong instructional design background with expertise in adult learning theory, virtual facilitation, and curriculum development. . Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. Data-driven, with the ability to analyze trends, track KPIs, and make strategic decisions tied to operational outcomes. . Advanced proficiency with LMS platforms such as Trainual or TalentLMS, and productivity tools like Notion, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Slack. . TECH AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. . Updated laptop or PC with a working webcam. . USB noise-canceling headset recommended. . High-speed wired internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps. . Company Location: Philippines.
