We are currently looking for a Group Benefits Specialist (Claims/LOA) in Canada.. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to support complex group benefits and disability claims for clients across Canada. As a key member of the Client Enablement Team, you will act as a subject matter expert and play a central role in managing disability claims, supporting leave of absence cases, and guiding internal teams. Accountabilities:. . Handle disability claim submissions and resolve complex inquiries using internal systems such as Zendesk and SCBConnect.. . Provide personalized support to members regarding claim applications and documentation requirements.. . Educate clients and Plan Administrators on the disability claims process to ensure smooth, accurate submissions.. . Serve as a resource to the Client Services team for complex or escalated claims-related issues.. . Liaise with insurance carriers to advocate for fair claim resolutions and ensure high service standards.. . Maintain and update plan member records in internal systems and collaborate across departments for efficient case handling.. . Create and deliver training materials to upskill team members on best practices and evolving processes.. . . Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits claims, preferably in a brokerage or insurance carrier setting.. . Proficiency with CRM platforms and tools such as Salesforce, Zendesk, and Monday.com.. . Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and collaborative tools like Slack; knowledge of Confluence/Atlassian is a plus.. . Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.. . Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.. . GBA certification is a plus.. .
