This is a unique, remote opportunity tailored for early-career or recently graduated genetic counselors looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Supporting a virtual genetics clinic, the role focuses on foundational clinical tasks such as chart preparation, documentation, and targeted research. You’ll have the chance to explore innovative genetic testing and observe real-time counseling sessions, while working only a few hours per month. Support virtual genetic counseling services through detailed patient chart preparation.. . Compile relevant medical and family history, test results, and clinical details to optimize counselor readiness.. . Draft standardized notes for hereditary cancer and cardiovascular risk assessments, population screening, and results disclosure using provided templates.. . Research and evaluate emerging genetic tests (e.g. polygenic risk scores, APOE) and present evidence-based recommendations for potential clinical adoption.. . (Optional) Observe virtual counseling sessions, gaining insight into integrated primary care applications in genetics.. . . Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program.. . ABGC certification or board-eligibility (no licensure required).. . Demonstrated experience in clinical cancer or cardiovascular genetics.. .
