As a Criminal Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal representation to clients charged with criminal offenses. You will utilize your knowledge of U.S. criminal law to defend clients effectively, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the legal process.. Responsibilities. . - Represent clients in criminal cases, from initial consultations through trials and appeals. . - Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions and briefs. . - Develop defense strategies tailored to each client's case. . - Communicate directly with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal options. . - Negotiate plea agreements and settlements with prosecutors. . - Attend court hearings and provide strong advocacy for clients. . - Remain up-to-date on changes in criminal law and relevant legal precedents. . - Collaborate with other legal professionals to enhance client representation. . - Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete. . . Jurisdictional legal license to practice law in the U.S., with experience in criminal defense. . Proven track record of representing clients in criminal cases. . Strong understanding of U.S. criminal law and procedures. . Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills. . Experience handling cases remotely is a plus. .
