Retina specialty billing.  and hands-on experience with . Athena software. . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about coding procedures and modifiers, and skilled in handling insurance denials to ensure accurate reimbursement.. Key Responsibilities:. . Accurately assign and review medical codes for retina specialty services.. . Utilize . Athena software.  for billing, coding, and claims management.. . Apply correct . modifiers.  and ensure proper procedure coding based on documentation.. . Manage claim submissions, follow-ups, and resolve denials or rejections efficiently.. . Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate coding and compliance.. . Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, payer requirements, and compliance standards.. . Assist with audits and reporting as needed.. . . Minimum of . 2 years’ experience.  in medical billing and coding.. . Retina specialty billing/coding experience.. . Proficiency in . Athena software. .. . Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes, including . modifier usage. .. . Proven experience in denial management and resolution.. . Clinical background/experience is a plus.. . Certification (CPC, CCA, CCS, or equivalent). . Amenable to work during U.S. business working hours.. . Company Location: Philippines.
