This isn’t a “check the boxes and implement” role. This is a high-ownership position where you’ll lead strategy, drive client communication, and keep projects on track.. Why This Role Is Different. . Own and lead SEO strategy across ecommerce and local service brands. . Execute technical, content, on-page, and off-page SEO. . Build and manage clean, white-hat backlink campaigns. . Conduct keyword research, content briefing, internal linking, and CRO. . Run SEO audits and reporting with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog. . Collaborate with copywriters, developers, designers, and external partners. . Lead client communication through Zoom and Slack. . Keep projects moving with ClickUp or similar tools. . Support internal training and improve SOPs. . . What You Bring. . 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house). . Strong results in both local and ecommerce SEO (Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress). . Deep understanding of backlink strategy and link quality. . Strong communication and leadership presence on client calls. . Content optimization and conversion-driven SEO mindset. . Proficiency with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Surfer, LowFruits. . Ability to troubleshoot technical SEO while keeping big-picture strategy in focus. . Comfortable working independently in EST or CST hours. . . Bonus If You Have. . Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools. . Light technical ability (HTML, CSS, Shopify Liquid). . Understanding of CRO and how SEO drives bottom-line results. .
