In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Creative Strategist to transform scripts into compelling video ads that capture attention, stop the scroll, and drive conversions.. The ideal candidate understands that every editing decision is tied to performance, from shot selection and pacing to transitions and sound design, and has experience producing 30–120 second direct response ads for DTC brands.. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven editor who understands performance marketing and wants to work on ads that directly impact revenue growth.. Responsibilities:. Work closely with the Creative Strategist to understand the concept, audience, and performance goal behind each script before editing.. Select the best clips from large libraries of UGC footage, product shots, and B-roll to match each moment of the script.. Edit 30–120 second direct response video ads optimized for platforms like Meta and AppLovin.. Ensure all elements of the edit — pacing, captions, sound design, color grading, and transitions — contribute to conversion performance.. Stay updated on emerging ad formats, editing styles, and trends in paid social advertising.. Submit edits via Frame.io and provide walkthrough explanations of editing decisions using Loom.. Quickly and accurately implement feedback from Frame.io and Loom comments.. Analyze winning ads and apply insights to future edits to improve performance.. Requirements:. Must-Have:. 2+ years of experience editing video ads for DTC brands. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience submitting work through Frame.io. Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback through Frame.io and Loom. Portfolio featuring video ads that ran on Meta or AppLovin. Proven experience editing 30–120 second performance-driven ads. Strong shot selection instincts when working with large asset libraries. Exceptional attention to visual quality and detail. Ability to deliver fast turnaround times without sacrificing quality. Proactive mindset - contributes ideas rather than only executing instructions. Ability to clearly explain creative decisions through Loom recordings. Understanding of what makes direct response ads convert. Nice-to-Have:. Experience editing ads for kitchen, food, home goods, or health-focused DTC brands. Familiarity with AppLovin ad formats and mobile-first editing. Basic motion graphics or After Effects experience for text animations and captions. Understanding of performance metrics such as hook rate, thumb-stop ratio, and other direct response metrics. Experience collaborating with UGC creators and providing feedback on footage. Familiarity with AI video tools such as Veo, RunwayML, or similar platforms. Portfolio Requirement.
