This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead testing efforts for critical software solutions supporting a federal agency. As an Automation Tester, you will design and execute automated and manual tests to ensure the highest levels of quality, functionality, and performance. You will lead a team of testers, collaborate closely with development teams, and help maintain and enhance automation frameworks. This position demands a detail-oriented professional passionate about improving software reliability in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.. Accountabilities:. ·         Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and JIRA.. ·         Analyze requirements to create detailed test cases and scenarios for functional, regression, and performance testing.. ·         Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.. ·         Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into continuous delivery pipelines.. ·         Perform manual testing as needed and validate code changes using GitHub workflows.. ·         Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and supporting documentation.. ·         Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.. ·         Take on additional responsibilities to support team goals and project success.. ·         Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.. ·         Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.. ·         Proficiency with Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Jenkins, and version control tools like GitHub.. ·         Strong scripting skills in Java or Python and working knowledge of SQL.. ·         Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.. ·         Experience working in SAFe/Agile environments and familiarity with DevSecOps practices.. ·         Ability to obtain government clearance is required.. ·         Experience with federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus..
