Develop temporary traffic management plans (TMPs) in line with NZTA CoPTTM, NZGTTM, and local authority requirements.. Prepare accurate and compliant traffic management drawings and documentation using RapidPlan, myTTM, and other industry-standard tools.. Manage jobs through the company workflow system, from new request to ready-to-submit and submitted stages.. Interpret job briefings and supporting documentation to create practical, site-appropriate TMPs.. Ensure plans prioritise the safety of road users, workers, and the public while minimising disruption.. Prepare supporting documentation, including site notes, approvals, and other related materials.. Integrate input from civil works, tree services, and other operational divisions into traffic management plans.. Handle a high-volume workload of approximately 15–20 TMP applications per week, balancing small and large projects.. Apply internal risk profiling and risk assessment processes, adapting to updated frameworks as required.. Participate in training and onboarding for new systems, workflows, and evolving NZGTTM compliance requirements.. Collaborate with internal teams, supervisors, and clients to clarify requirements and resolve design or compliance queries.. Maintain consistency and quality across all submitted designs to support approvals by authorities, contractors, and clients.. Submit TMPs via relevant council and authority portals, including MyWorkSites where applicable.. Track submissions, manage revisions, and respond to feedback, RFIs, and resubmission requirements.. Contribute to improving design processes and efficiency, including template development and workflow improvements.. Apply a strong working knowledge of NZTA CoPTTM, NZGTTM, local authority traffic management requirements, and safety regulations.. Ensure all plans comply with current New Zealand traffic management legislation and operational standards.. Stay updated on changes in traffic management laws, practices, systems, and technologies.. Support and liaise with the internal design team to manage workload and improve turnaround times.. Work alongside supervisors and field staff to ensure designs are practical, safe, and implementable on site.. Provide guidance to trainees or junior staff on design and compliance matters.. Assist with stakeholder communication, including submitting TMPs for approval and responding to council, contractor, and client feedback.. Perform other role-specific duties as required.. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Design, Traffic/Transport Planning, or a related field preferred.. Minimum 3 years’ experience in traffic management planning within New Zealand.. Proficiency in RapidPlan (essential); experience with other design or measurement tools is an advantage.. Experience with digital workflows and planning platforms; experience with bespoke systems such as myTTM highly regarded.. Strong knowledge of NZTA CoPTTM, NZGTTM, local government standards, and practical TMP application.. Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume design workloads (15–20+ applications per week).. Experience with council and authority submission systems, including MyWorkSites or similar portals.. Strong understanding of risk assessment and risk profiling in traffic management.. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, stakeholder engagement, and submissions.. Strong attention to detail, balancing compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general computer literacy.. Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with designers, supervisors, and external stakeholders..
