This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the technical and cybersecurity architecture for a critical modernization program, consolidating legacy systems into a secure, cloud-native environment. The Lead Solutions & Security Architect will design scalable, compliant architectures, implement Zero Trust principles, and guide DevSecOps practices across enterprise development teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the system meets federal security standards and supports operational continuity for millions of end-users. This position combines strategic oversight, hands-on technical expertise, and leadership in cybersecurity, enabling you to shape a high-impact government technology platform.. . Accountabilities. As a Lead Solutions & Security Architect, you will:. . Lead end-to-end technical architecture across application, data, API, and integration layers in a secure IL5 cloud environment.. . Design and refine system blueprints supporting modular microservices, the Strangler Pattern, and Oracle-backed operational data stores.. . Implement Zero Trust Architecture including ICAM, role-based access control, encryption, and network segmentation.. . Guide Agile teams on technical direction, enforce DevSecOps controls, and ensure alignment with containerized delivery pipelines.. . Oversee RMF and FISMA compliance, including System Security Plan (SSP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Contingency Plans, and POA&Ms.. . Conduct risk assessments, lead security reviews, and interface with government cybersecurity teams for ATO submission and continuous monitoring.. . Manage vulnerability assessment and mitigation using Fortify, WebInspect, ACAS, and other approved tools.. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate architecture decisions that meet performance, scalability, and auditability requirements.. . The ideal candidate will have:. . US citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust or IT II Security clearance.. . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).. . 9+ years of enterprise solution design and architecture experience.. . 5+ years in cybersecurity leadership roles.. . DoD-approved 8140/8570 CISSP/IA System Architecture & Engineering baseline cybersecurity certification.. . Expert-level proficiency in cloud-native enterprise architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP), microservices, and service-oriented design.. . Deep knowledge of Zero Trust principles, NIST SP 800-53/207/218, RMF, FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD cybersecurity directives.. . Hands-on experience with ATO documentation, eMASS, audit logging, system boundary definition, CI/CD integration, and DevSecOps practices.. . Strong data architecture knowledge, including Oracle systems, SFIS/SLOA compliance, encryption, and NARA retention requirements.. . Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills to guide technical teams and collaborate with government stakeholders.. . Preferred Qualifications:. . Advanced professional certifications such as CCSP, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CSSLP, or IASAE Level II.. . Experience with Strangler Pattern implementation, DFAS systems, or DoD financial management environments.. . Knowledge of continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and automated security testing integration.. .
