Your task in this project is to listen to audio recordings in Japanese then transcribe what you hear accurately. These recordings reflect how Japanese people actually speak, with different accents, ages, and speaking styles, and your work helps make AI understand local voices better.. If you’re comfortable working with audio, detail-oriented, and can commit a few hours a day, this project is for you.. What You'll be Doing?. Listen to Japanese audio clips and transcribe them accurately . Segment audio into natural speech units . Identify and label speakers when multiple voices are present . Add simple annotations (e.g. gender, age group, emotion) . Follow project guidelines to maintain high-quality outputs . Communicate actively with the Project Manager for clarifications. Project Details. Duration: 2 months. Time commitment: Around 4–6 hours per day. Onboarding Training: Mandatory (TBD, during office hours 9am–6pm GMT +8). What matters most for this role is your . ability to accurately understand and transcribe real-life spoken Japanese.. What do I need?. Bilingual in Japanese and English (required). Comfortable reading and writing in both Japanese and English. Strong listening skills with the ability to understand various Japanese accents and speaking styles. Native and non-native Japanese speakers are welcome. Non-native speakers should have JLPT N3 – N2 proficiency or higher, with strong confidence in writing, listening, and reading. Detail-oriented and patient, able to maintain at least 95% accuracy. Willing to ask questions when unsure. Laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection. Ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines. Willing to complete a pre-assessment as part of the screening process.
