Work Schedule. : This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5:30 PM AEDT, Monday to Friday, during daylight saving time, summer months and switch back to AEST - UTC+10 in winter) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.. The client is an Australian-owned signage and visual communications company that specialises in designing and manufacturing custom signage solutions for schools, community organisations, and businesses. They provide a wide range of products including wayfinding signage, building and facade signs, banners, branded displays, and environmental graphics. With a strong focus on creativity, quality materials, and practical functionality, they work closely with clients from concept through to production to deliver signage that enhances spaces, reinforces brand identity, and communicates messages clearly and effectively.. Role Overview:. The primary purpose of this role is to create accurate, production-ready artwork for signage and print products supplied to schools. This includes interpreting client briefs, producing proofs, preparing final print/cut files, and ensuring artwork meets all technical requirements for fabrication.. Secondary to the core production design duties, the role will also provide marketing support across digital content creation, social media scheduling, and basic marketing administration tasks.. This position requires high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.. Key Responsibilities: . Primary Responsibilities — Signage Artwork & Production (Core Function). Design signage artwork based on client briefs (awards, directional signs, branding, large-format print, etc.). Prepare accurate print-ready and cut-ready files, including bleed, trim, cut paths, correct colour profiles (CMYK/spot), and material/finishing specifications. Review and correct client-supplied artwork for technical suitability. Produce clear client-facing artwork proofs and manage revision rounds. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure artwork meets production constraints. Maintain consistent brand standards and file organisation. Manage multiple jobs simultaneously with reliable turnaround times. Maintain digital libraries of templates, assets, and production files. Secondary Responsibilities — Marketing & Digital Support. These duties support overall business marketing and are performed after primary production. tasks are prioritised and completed.. Digital Content & Social Media. Design simple marketing graphics for web or social media. Create visual assets aligned to brand guidelines. Schedule social content across platforms and monitor engagement (as required). Produce visuals for occasional marketing campaigns (product launches, seasonal promotions, etc.). Marketing Administration & Backend Support. Organise and maintain digital assets and resource libraries. Update website content, product images, or landing pages as directed. Assist with CRM or email platform setup and basic campaign scheduling. Support marketing coordination tasks such as project tracking and file distribution. 3-5 years of experience in a design or signage production role. Strong Adobe Creative Suite and Canva skills (Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop). Experience designing for signage, print, or large-format output. Understanding of print production requirements (colour, resolution, bleed, finishing). High attention to detail and file management discipline. Excellent written and verbal English communication. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely. Nice to Have:. Experience in signage, print, visual communications, or related industries. Ability to create murals and digital wall art. Familiarity with RIP software or production workflow tools. Basic digital marketing or social content design skills. Knowledge of CMS or CRM platforms.
