This individual will play a vital role in supporting our employees by managing and enhancing the company’s comprehensive benefits offerings. The Benefits Manager will oversee Sigma Defense’s health and wellness programs, lead the administration of the leave management program (including FMLA and other statutory leaves), manage Workers’ Compensation claims, and coordinate the ADA interactive process to support reasonable accommodations.. This role is critical in ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Benefits Manager will be a trusted advisor and a key contributor to Sigma Defense’s commitment to taking care of those who serve and support our mission.. Knowledge and experience with compliance and leave laws.. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage sensitive information.. Experience with multi-state benefits, Workers’ Compensation, and ADA processes; prior work in a government contractor environment is preferred.. Computer Programs/Software: . Humanic (HRIS). Employee Navigator (Benefits Management). Microsoft Office Suite. Education Requirements:. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study it preferred.. Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):. Administer group benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and ensuring accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations.. Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact for all benefit-related inquiries, providing guidance to employees, managers, and HR partners.. Oversee and manage the company's leave of absence program, including FMLA, ADA, military, and personal leaves, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.. Coordinate and document the ADA interactive process, partnering with employees and managers to implement reasonable accommodations.. Administer and track Workers’ Compensation claims, collaborating with employees, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and effective case management.. Lead the annual open enrollment process, including benefit plan setup, employee communications, system configuration, and issue resolution.. Maintain and audit benefit and leave data within the HRIS and other systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.. Develop and deliver employee-facing communications and training materials regarding benefits, leave, and wellness programs.. Monitor legislation and regulatory updates related to benefits, ADA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation, and ensure company policies and procedures remain compliant.. Collaborate with HR leadership and Finance to analyze benefits utilization and costs and provide recommendations for improvements or changes.. Manage vendor relationships and ensure high levels of service from benefits providers, including resolution of escalated issues.. Support HR projects and initiatives related to employee wellness, engagement, and total rewards strategy.. Conduct monthly benefits reconciliation, including reconciling carrier invoices and review/resolve reconciliation discrepancies with invoices, payroll and/or enrollment data..
