We are seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Legal Intern to join our Compliance & Legal team. This role is ideal for a law student interested in private equity, regulatory compliance, and the intersection of health, technology, and financial regulation. . The intern will support the legal and compliance team in identifying, researching, and addressing regulatory obligations and policy enhancements across the firm’s operations and portfolio activities . . Location: Aventura, Florida (Remote, Hybrid or On-Site) . . Responsibilities . While the role is adaptive, key areas of engagement may include: . Research and development of compliance protocols related to: . RIA Framework: SEC rules, Investment Advisers Act of 1940, AML, Cybersecurity, and AI risk assessments . Privacy Frameworks: HIPAA, GDPR, and U.S. state-level privacy assessments . Marketing & Regulatory Oversight: FDA and FTC frameworks applicable to wellness brands . Assist in drafting and updating key documents: . Compliance Manual . Internal Risk Assessment Deck . FDA/FTC marketing compliance materials . Support creation and modernization of firm-wide policies and procedures including: . Incident Response Plans . AI systems . SOP and marketing policy delivery systems . Ideal Candidate . J.D. candidate (1L–3L); preferably with strong preference for coursework or interest in securities law, privacy, regulatory compliance, or health law. . Demonstrated research and writing skills with attention to regulatory nuance. . Interest in private equity, investment management, or fintech a plus. . Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. . Familiarity with SEC, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar frameworks is beneficial but not required. . . What You’ll Gain .
