Accountabilities:. ·         Lead and independently develop engineering products, including drainage and irrigation designs, hydraulic modeling, and technical calculations, ensuring compliance with project scope and quality standards.. ·         Review and verify construction details, erosion control plans, and quantity calculations to guarantee accuracy and constructability.. ·         Prepare and supervise engineering reports, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, and technical analyses.. ·         Provide guidance and oversight to CAD designers, junior engineers, and project teams, ensuring consistent technical direction and high-quality deliverables.. ·         Support the planning and execution of state DOT and federal transportation projects, including permitting and regulatory compliance.. ·         Mentor and supervise subordinate engineers, contributing to their development and performance evaluation.. ·         Collaborate across teams to ensure timely project delivery, cost control, and technical excellence on small to large-scale transportation initiatives.. ·         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.. ·         Minimum 8 years of experience in road and highway drainage design, preferably including state DOT projects.. ·         Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred or the ability to obtain one.. ·         Proficiency in CAD software and engineering-related PC tools.. ·         Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, Bentley InRoads Storm & Sanitary, Bentley StormCAD, or equivalent.. ·         Knowledge of stormwater and canal permitting processes is a plus.. ·         Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.. ·         Ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple project priorities effectively..
