We’re looking for our next control-minded and impact-driven I. nformation Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist . to join our Security, Privacy & Compliance team.  Reporting to the Director, Security, Privacy & Compliance, you’ll be ensuring that our internal security landscape is top-notch by proactively managing risk and continuously monitoring for improvements. . A day in the life as a Information Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist: . . Be a Subject Matter Expert –. Act as a source of knowledge for our IT risk management posture, attestations, and certifications for the organization. . . Proactively Support IT Management and Compliance –. Align IT risk management to relevant frameworks, enable prompt identifications of IT risks, and support ongoing compliance with the development of appropriate remediation options and effective deployment of IT risk management controls. . . Conduct various IT Risk Assessments – . Develop, monitor, implement, and track IT risk management controls and metrics to target compliance, timely identify and support effective remediation of deviations, and act as the main point of contact for GRC solutions across the organization. . . Develop an Artefact Library –. Create and maintain an enterprise-wide artefact library ensuring ongoing currency, completeness, accuracy, and availability of artefacts. . If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you:  . I have knowledge of IT risk management frameworks, including compliance standards, techniques, artefacts, metrics development and reporting, and industry best practices. . I gained my knowledge through 2+ years of direct experience in IT risk management, IT governance, reporting, & documentation, either professionally or through experiential learning. . I have experience with GRC tools, their uses, and their functionalities.  . I’m familiar with IT risks and control domains. . I’m exceptional at analysing information while taking a critical approach, ensuring that nothing is taken for granted or at face value. . I get most excited about honing my skillset within the risk industry generally, and IT risk management specifically. . I have a proven ability to communicate clearly, diplomatically, and in a collaborative manner while retaining my cool and composure. . I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA (and Vietnam if required for role). . I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate . I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills .
