We are seeking a detail-oriented Plant Accountant to manage and coordinate accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. This role will provide critical financial insights to support production and operational decisions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, cost analysis, and reconciliation. You will work closely with plant operations, accounting teams, and management to maintain strong financial controls and compliance, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, is proactive in problem-solving, and can balance multiple priorities across complex operations. Your contributions will help optimize financial performance and support the growth of the organization’s manufacturing operations.. . Accountabilities. ·         Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, month-end work papers, and other month-end accounting duties.. ·         Analyze profit margins, manufacturing costs, PPV, and cost variances.. ·         Develop and enhance accounting systems, programs, and procedures.. ·         Generate detailed monthly reports on gross margin by customer, part number, and production jobs.. ·         Collect and study data to determine costs of raw materials, inventory, and labor.. ·         Assist with annual audits and prepare ad hoc financial reporting for plant management.. ·         Train and mentor junior accounting staff, and provide backup support for accounts payable.. ·         Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support plant operations.. ·         Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business, with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience.. ·         Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a dependable, team-oriented mindset.. ·         Proficiency in MS Office, with strong spreadsheet and database skills; NetSuite experience preferred.. ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.. ·         Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and take ownership of responsibilities.. ·         Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment.. ·         Experience managing accounting activities across multiple sites.. ·         Ability to identify process improvements and drive automation in accounting workflows.. ·         Willingness to travel up to 30%.. .
