Accurately post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts.. . Review and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper submissions.. . Verify insurance information and patient data, flagging potential coding issues.. . Follow up on unpaid claims within the billing cycle and appeal denied claims.. . Perform eligibility verification and pre-certification through online portals or phone calls.. . Conduct claim status calls with insurance companies and document updates.. . Process ERAs and EOBs from multiple systems and websites.. . Review patient bills for accuracy, completeness, and resolve any missing information.. . Maintain strict confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.. . Support credentialing tasks and denial management processes when required.. . . Proven experience in medical billing, especially with insurance claims and coding issues.. . Strong understanding of billing processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance (HMO/PPO).. . Skilled in eligibility checks, claim follow-ups, charge entry, and denial resolution.. . Comfortable navigating billing software and handling electronic/paper claims.. . Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.. .
