Review, verify, and correct chart deficiencies for inpatients, outpatient procedures, and hospital-based surgeries.. Analyze, reassign, and resolve declined deficiencies, ensuring the correct provider is accountable.. Validate completed deficiencies, confirming documentation is accurate and meets policy standards.. Manage workqueues, including analysis needed, done deficiencies, and final analysis, to maintain workflow efficiency.. Collaborate with nursing and HIM teams to ensure accurate provider assignment and proper handling of verbal or cosigned orders.. Maintain compliance with federal and state laws, accreditation requirements, and internal policies.. Identify missing documentation elements, assign deficiencies correctly, and maintain high productivity and quality standards.. High school diploma required; additional certifications in health information management preferred.. Minimum 3 years of experience in HIM record processing or equivalent acute care setting.. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clerical skills with attention to detail.. Proficient in reviewing, researching, and correcting medical record deficiencies..
