The Director of Customer Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the technical success of enterprise customers by delivering innovative solutions, ensuring seamless platform integrations, and guiding a high-performing engineering team. This role bridges the gap between product, customer success, and engineering teams to address both immediate and long-term business challenges. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, influencing strategy, mentoring engineers, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position combines hands-on technical delivery with strategic leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enabling customers to maximize the value of digital health and analytics solutions.. Accountabilities:. . Lead the technical relationship with enterprise customers, serving as the primary engineering interface and trusted advisor.. . Own the customer-centric technology roadmap, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance platform value and address evolving business needs.. . Collaborate with product and customer success teams to design, deliver, and integrate scalable solutions across client environments.. . Provide technical enablement for pre-sales, platform demonstrations, solution integrations, and escalated issue resolution.. . Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.. . Evaluate emerging technologies and prototype new features to improve customer experience and platform performance.. . Support account managers and business development teams with proposals, solution design, and client presentations.. . Build and maintain long-term trusted relationships with clients, acting as the technical voice during solution design and delivery.. . . Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.. . 10+ years in technology, software engineering, or customer engineering roles, preferably in SaaS, healthcare, or life sciences.. . Proven experience at leading consulting firms or similar environments with data platform, analytics solution, or SaaS implementation expertise.. . Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS), data integration, API management, and process automation.. . Hands-on experience deploying large-scale data platforms and analytics solutions for enterprise clients.. . Familiarity with data engineering, ETL pipelines, data modeling, BI/reporting tools, and frameworks such as Python, Java, Django, Spring Boot, or FastAPI.. . Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing customer-facing engineering teams.. . Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.. . Experience supporting pre-sales technical enablement, RFP responses, and solution architecture.. . Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and develop innovative solutions to complex customer challenges.. . Relevant certifications (AWS, Databricks, etc.) are desirable.. .
