Our paralegals are vital members of Zirtual. The paralegal is the main point of contact with their assigned client(s) and will work independently with the law firms. The paralegal will receive support from their assigned Account Supervisor, who will assist the paralegal & law firm relationship with plan modifications, questions, feedback on quality, delegation and collaboration best practices, and more.. The paralegal will provide a high-level professional service by working on tasks and projects as assigned by the client, and ensuring they are executed on time and to the highest level of quality. The paralegal is responsible for being the main point of contact for their assigned client(s), and being familiar with each clients’ needs and preferences. . The paralegal must have consistent and proactive communication with clients and the Account Supervisors. Paralegals are expected to be available for clients during business hours as agreed upon with each client, but around-the-clock availability is not expected. Paralegals ensure time is entered on a daily basis using a provided tool, respond to all communication within a mutually established response time expectation tailored to each client’s needs, maintain detailed and up-to-date client profiles, and follow Zirtual's best practices for success.. Job Overview. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Transactions Paralegal. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the Illinois real estate process, with a strong preference for familiarity with Chicago-specific procedures and title practices. This role involves preparing and reviewing closing documents, coordinating with attorneys, title companies, and lenders, and ensuring smooth, timely transactions from contract to close.. Education & Experience:. . Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred . . 2–5+ years of experience supporting attorneys in real estate transactions, preferably in Illinois . . Experience handling both . residential and/or commercial. real estate transactions in the . Chicago market. is a strong plus . . Technical Skills:. . Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) . . Familiarity with legal practice management and document management systems (e.g., Clio, NetDocuments, Worldox) . . Experience using title and escrow software such as . Qualia, SoftPro, or RamQuest. . . Comfortable with Cook County Recorder and e-recording platforms (e.g., Simplifile) . . Knowledge & Abilities:. . Deep understanding of the . Illinois real estate process. , especially . Chicago-specific contract practices. , municipal transfer requirements, and customary closing procedures . . Ability to prepare and review . contracts, deeds, ALTA settlement statements, loan packages, closing disclosures, and title commitments. . . Skilled in . clearing title issues. , reviewing surveys, and coordinating municipal inspections, water certifications, and zoning compliance (where applicable) . . Strong working knowledge of the . Chicago Title and Trust system (CTT). and local title company procedures . . Able to manage closing checklists and coordinate with attorneys, lenders, title companies, brokers, and clients . . Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously . . Additional Requirements:. . Proactive, independent worker. .
