Road Bike Components Buyer. who is an avid road cyclist and possesses a deep understanding of the cycling industry. In this role, you will utilize your passion for cycling and expertise in components to make informed purchasing decisions that meet the needs of the shop and its customers.. Key Responsibilities. . Research, evaluate, and select road bike components to purchase from suppliers.. . Maintain current knowledge of cycling trends, technology, and market demand.. . Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure the best deals for the shop.. . Track inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory management team.. . Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align purchasing decisions with promotional activities.. . Gather feedback from customers and staff regarding product quality and performance.. . Analyze sales data to forecast demand and make strategic buying decisions.. . • Strong passion for road cycling and comprehensive knowledge of bike components.. • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying in the cycling or sporting goods industry.. • Excellent negotiation skills and vendor management experience.. • Ability to analyze data and forecast trends effectively.. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.. • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite..
