Accountabilities. Define and execute the Analytics Engineering team charter, roadmap, and priorities.. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Analytics Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and impact.. Contribute directly to high-impact dbt models and pipelines as a “player-coach.”. Build and operationalize a semantic layer to serve as a single source of truth for company metrics.. Implement engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and observability.. Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams to ensure smooth handoffs from ingestion to analysis.. Deliver business-critical wins and clearly communicate progress, documentation, and best practices to stakeholders.. . 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI, or data engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.. Expert in SQL, dbt, and modern data modeling patterns with experience in cloud warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.. Skilled in workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and CI/CD pipelines for data.. Deep understanding of semantic layers and their use in scalable self-service analytics.. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across technical and business stakeholders.. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a bias for action..
