About the Role . As a Leasing Manager at Guardian Properties (a Proper subsidiary), you’ll play a critical role in overseeing leasing operations across a growing portfolio of residential and small commercial properties in Florida and Chicago. You’ll manage listings, tenant communications, applications, renewals, and vendor coordination to reduce vacancy and support a seamless resident experience. This is a full-time, remote, U.S.-based role with very limited travel. . Key Responsibilities . Leasing & Marketing . Post and maintain unit listings on internet listing services (ILS). . Manage applications, screen prospective residents, and facilitate lease signings. . Oversee renewals to minimize vacancy loss. . Conduct periodic marketing audits to ensure property visibility. . Resident & Property Support . Coordinate move-outs, inspections, and unit turns. . Collaborate with maintenance teams and vendors on the turn process and work orders. . Serve as point of contact for tenants, including select small commercial tenants. . Portfolio Oversight . Support leasing and operations for ~118 scattered-site units across Florida and Chicago. . Ensure compliance with income-restricted housing guidelines where applicable. . Assist with reporting and operational coordination as needed. . Qualifications . Experience & Skills . Proven leasing or property management experience (required). . Strong organizational and time management skills. . Ability to work independently in a remote environment. . Excellent communication and customer service skills. . Preferred . Bilingual (English/Spanish). . Familiarity with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi). . Experience with affordable housing guidelines. . Licensing & Requirements . No degree required. . Must be U.S.-based. . Ability to work Eastern Standard Time hours (9 AM – 5 PM). .
