This project includes rewriting an existing oral history collection app, building new features, and creating a new field audits app—delivering a unified, efficient, and maintainable cross-platform experience.. Location:. Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.. Availability:. Must be available to work with significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).. The Ideal Candidate Has:. . BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of professional software development experience. . . 4+ years of proven React Native experience in production-grade mobile applications. . . Strong mobile development experience for both iOS and Android platforms. . . Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development practices. . . Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance development productivity. . . Ability to develop performant, scalable, and maintainable mobile applications. . . Strong collaboration skills to work closely with design, product, and engineering teams. . . Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered). . . Key Responsibilities:. . Rewrite existing Android apps into React Native while ensuring feature parity and optimal performance. . . Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI-assisted tooling for efficient migration and development. . . Build and ship new features post-migration to expand the Oral Gen app’s capabilities. . . Design and develop a new field audits application from scratch using React Native. . . Ensure seamless and scalable deployment across iOS and Android platforms. . . Work with product and design teams to implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.. . Company Location: Costa Rica.
