Role summary. The Evidence & Evaluation Lead drives the research and knowledge agenda of the National Centre, delivering high quality, survivor and victim informed evidence that informs policy, practice, and systems change in relation to child sexual abuse.. This role leads the delivery of strategic research projects elevating diverse forms of knowledge including academic evidence, Lived Experience, and community insights. Working collaboratively across teams and with external partners, the role ensures research is ethical, inclusive, and translated into practical outputs that support meaningful change.. By enabling strong research, evidence and evaluation practices, this role directly contributes to the National Centre’s mission to prevent child sexual abuse and improve support systems and recovery pathways for victims and survivors.. Who you are (selection criteria). . You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in research, public policy or a related field or equivalent professional experience.. . You bring demonstrated experience designing and delivering high-quality research projects that generate actionable insights to inform systems, policy, and practice preferably within a public purpose or advocacy-focused context.. . You have strong capabilities in distilling diverse forms of evidence including academic research, Lived Experience and community knowledge.. . You are deeply committed to ethical, inclusive, and trauma-responsive research practices, with experience embedding the voices of victims, survivors, and diverse communities across all stages of the research process.. . You have the ability to distill complex information into accessible, impactful insights and outputs tailored to a range of audiences, including policymakers, practitioners and victim-survivor communities.. . You are experienced in translating research into practical tools, resources, and strategies that support uptake, application, and sustained systems change.. . You are highly organised and analytical, with strong project management skills and the ability to navigate competing priorities and complex stakeholder environments.. . It is a symbol of hope and an essential vehicle for action for many victims and survivors of child sexual abuse. Its formation recognises the decades of advocacy by victims and survivors to be listened to, believed, validated, protected and ultimately supported to heal from the trauma they carry with them. Its focus extends beyond institutional child sexual abuse to abuse that occurs in the family, community and online.. The National Centre has woven the voices and experiences of victims and survivors into its very fabric. It acknowledges the strength and expertise that derives from their Lived and Living Experience of child sexual abuse.
