The Paralegal (Privacy and Compliance) will be part of a dynamic Legal team, providing essential legal and compliance support for our growing operations in the USA. While a particular focus will be on US school data compliance and vendor assessments related to our Experience CS program, this role extends beyond that specific area. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the Foundation's legal integrity and compliance within the broader US regulatory landscape.. You'll support compliance with US school districts' vendor assessment processes and Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) for Experience CS, directly contributing to its successful rollout by ensuring adherence to student data privacy requirements. Additionally, you will provide general paralegal support to the Legal team across broader legal needs, including US contract management, non-profit registrations, reporting, and legal research, as well as assisting with general legal matters in other markets as required.. Assist with US school district vendor assessment questionnaires.. . Support the evaluation and implementation of Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) including the National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) for US school districts.. . Support the implementation and use of data privacy and security compliance tools (e.g. Drata).. . Draft and review US commercial contracts and agreements.. . Conduct US legal research, in particular laws and regulations relating to student data privacy (e.g., FERPA, COPPA).. . Track developments in US data protection law and advise the legal team on impacts.. . Ensure compliance with US non-profit registration and reporting requirements.. . Manage DPIAs for the Foundation’s US operations, using the OneTrust platform.. . Develop and maintain US-specific legal templates and guidance.. . Provide general administrative support to the legal team.. . . Experience and personal attributes.
