This is a key role within the first line of defence, where you will ensure that risk management frameworks are embedded effectively across the business. You will provide expertise, guidance, and oversight to strengthen governance and controls, while driving a proactive risk culture. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll support strategic objectives, manage risk registers, and lead on risk-related initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to shape processes, improve frameworks, and make a tangible impact on risk ownership throughout the organisation.. Accountabilities:. . Provide clear guidance on risk and compliance to stakeholders to support business priorities.. . Develop and maintain robust governance frameworks with clearly defined accountabilities.. . Support delivery of control actions and ensure effective implementation in collaboration with senior managers.. . Champion best practice governance through continuous process improvements.. . Coordinate and oversee risk-related actions, including maintenance of risk registers and mitigation logs.. . Deliver specialist support in risk identification, assessment, and control management.. . Manage risk events, loss events, reporting, and resolutions.. . Promote a risk-aware culture, embedding ownership across teams.. . Work closely with 2nd and 3rd line governance teams to strengthen decision-making processes.. . . Demonstrable experience in Risk Management within financial services.. . Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and general insurance products.. . Familiarity with Protecht or similar risk management systems.. . Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.. . Strong stakeholder management, able to build relationships at all levels.. . Analytical problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.. . Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.. .
