The Senior Account Executive is responsible for accelerating sales growth within their designated region, focusing on developing new business opportunities with enterprise growers and ag retailers and expanding existing customer relationships. This role is pivotal in expanding the company’s market presence and fostering long-term customer relationships. Reporting to the Head of FMIS, North America, the ideal candidate will bring exceptional business acumen, a deep understanding of the ag retail landscape, and the ability to engage with top-level executives and decision-makers effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who can navigate complex sales processes, identify new opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that align with customer and company goals. . What you will do:. Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies that align with clients' business objectives, ensuring long-term growth and mutual success.. Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with senior executives at ag retail organizations, positioning the company as a trusted advisor and solution provider.. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to broaden the customer base.. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by effectively managing a pipeline of opportunities, from lead generation through to successful deal closure.. Collaborate with the Head of FMIS, North America to create and implement sales strategies that align with organizational objectives.. Leverage in-depth knowledge of the ag retail sector to anticipate market shifts, inform clients of relevant developments, and tailor solutions that address evolving industry challenges.. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote solutions and build brand visibility.. Partner with internal teams, including product development and customer success, to ensure solutions meet customer needs and exceed expectations.. Lead negotiations with high-value clients, ensuring outcomes are mutually beneficial and aligned with business goals.. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.. Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics.. Serve as a resource for other sales team members by sharing insights and assisting with complex deals.. Identify and resolve issues across the marketing/sales and account management functions.. We want you to succeed, so you will need:. Proven experience in a sales role selling to ag retail companies. Strong understanding of precision agriculture and related technologies. Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade senior decision-makers, coupled with strong emotional intelligence and active listening skills. Sales acumen, with experience in driving renewals and account expansion. Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about customer needs and solutions. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand and address customer needs. Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on renewals and upselling. Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies is a plus. Ability to quickly learn and demonstrate proficiency in our products and services. Ability to travel up to 25%, within the Pacific Northwest, for industry events, trade shows and customer meetings. Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Technology, or a related field. Previous experience in a customer-facing role within an Ag Tech company. minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the ag retail industry, with a proven track record of engaging with C-suite executives and key stakeholders. Salary range: . $95,000 to $110,000 per year plus commission .
