As a Senior Business Consultant at ISI, you are the sharp, hands-on strategist who parachutes into small-to-mid-sized companies and drives real, bottom-line change. You don’t just advise from a distance—you embed with the client team, build financial visibility from scratch, implement systems, and teach owners how to lead their business to sustainable profit.. This role is built for entrepreneurial operators with strong financial acumen, Excel mastery, and the communication skills to gain trust, challenge assumptions, and lead transformations across a wide range of industries. If you’re someone who has owned or led a business—and you know what it takes to turn it around—we want you on the ground with us.. You’ll fly out on Sundays, spend the week at client sites (Monday–Friday), and return home Fridays, traveling nationwide to consult on-site 50+ hours per week. It’s fast-paced, high-impact, and deeply rewarding.. RESPONSIBILITIES:. Financial Modeling & Visibility. . Build complete P&L, balance sheet, and 13-week cash flow forecasts in Excel from raw financials . . Develop clear, actionable reporting tools for clients using Excel and QuickBooks . . Identify margin gaps, cost issues, and cash inefficiencies . . Operational & Strategic Execution. . Analyze all areas of the business—sales, ops, finance, team—and create Value Enhancement Plans . . Implement systems and processes that drive measurable cash and profit improvements . . Facilitate change with direct communication, strategic urgency, and empathy . . Client Enablement & Education. . Train business owners and leaders on financial and operational best practices . . Conduct weekly Value Enhancement Reviews, presenting results and next steps . . Build trust through accountability and performance—not theory . . Project Tracking & Expansion. . Track project KPIs and ROI impact . . Identify opportunities for expanded service or referrals . . Partner with Project Managers to align on weekly strategy and execution . . RESULTS:. . Every client receives a fully built financial model with immediate operational insights . . Systems are implemented that drive real margin, cash flow, and profit gains . . Business owners are trained and empowered to sustain improvements post-engagement . . Weekly KPIs and Value Enhancement Reviews are delivered on time and with clarity . . Expansion and referral opportunities are surfaced and qualified . . SCHEDULE:. . Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred) . . 10+ years of executive-level experience with P&L responsibility in SMB environments . . Strong multi-industry exposure (construction, manufacturing, distribution, retail, etc.) . . Advanced Excel skills (modeling from scratch, forecasts, dashboards) . . Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred . . Exceptional communication, facilitation, and change-management abilities . . Comfortable working in varied environments—from boardrooms to job sites . . Based within 90 minutes of a major U.S. airport . . Must be able to travel weekly, carry luggage, and lift a laptop bag . .
