Activate Care takes care of the data of the most vulnerable people, so we spend a lot of effort securing and keeping systems secure, and proving compliance with requirements. We are a 50 person company in downtown Boston, focusing on a single web based service.. We are looking for someone who has a solid IT background and is well organized, that is willing and able to support and drive the IT side of the company as we grow. This requires understanding all the systems, software and networks that comprise the company's IT infrastructure and the security implications of them. . Employee computers are a major security risk, as such this position deals directly with employee computers and ensures their compliance with company security policy. We are an Apple/JAMF and Chromebook/Google shop. We plan to outsource the Chromebook hardware support and would like someone with experience working with third party vendors.. We use 50+ external services and we need someone who will work with our team in owning and managing these.. The position reports to the Director of Infrastructure.. Responsibilities: . . Manage the procurement of employee devices including outsourced IT management of systems. . Asset management and support for company’s fleet of Apple laptops and Boston office IT systems. . Administration of laptop fleet via MDM. . Working with a third party provider help manage a growing Chromebook fleet. . Manage software administration, acquisitions and user accounts. . Monitor help desk and iterate on help desk activities . . Internal and external user technology support . . Monitor IT systems and report needed metrics. . Provide IT training. . Keep up to date with IT and security news. . Support Security initiatives and audits. . Qualifications & Skills:. . Experience managing of third party contractors a plus. . Background in Computer Support, preferably Apple. . Demonstrated knowledge of Apple computer troubleshooting. . Knowledge of MDMs in general. . Scripting experience in a common language. .
