Accountant . to partner with our client, a permanent-hold investment firm that owns and operates family-run manufacturing businesses across the Southeast and Midwest United States. As an Accountant, your success will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financials, the clarity of your reporting, and your ability to support plant leaders in interpreting key financial data. You’ll serve as a cross-functional finance partner, working across multiple entities and systems to ensure decision-makers have what they need. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:. Month-End Close & Reporting. . Manage the full-cycle month-end close across multiple entities, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow preparation.. . Reconcile inventory positions, including WIP, and finished goods.. . Prepare gross margin reports by product line and department.. . Support overhead allocation, absorption analysis, and weekly cash plans.. . Maintain schedules for short-term forecasting and lender-facing reports.. . . Plant Support & Stakeholder Coordination. . Act as a finance partner to plant operations managers across manufacturing sites.. . Investigate variances and assist in interpreting financial performance metrics.. . Collaborate with site teams to close process gaps or clarify data.. . Join regular calls to explain reporting packages and resolve discrepancies.. . System Navigation & Tools. . Operate across multiple ERP environments: QuickBooks Online, other platforms such as Evo, and Visual (Infor) will be an added advantage.. . Access systems via remote desktop and maintain live spreadsheet trackers.. . Build reconciliations and reporting tools using Excel and Google Sheets.. . Recommend improvements to legacy workflows and documentation.. . General Accounting & Compliance. . Handle bank and credit card reconciliations (500–700 transactions monthly).. . Assist in light payroll processing and compliance reporting as needed.. . Collaborate with the finance team on internal and external financial packages.. . Support preparation for audits, reviews, or lender data requests.. . Colleagues. You’ll report directly to the Chief of Staff and Finance Director at our client’s organization. Your day-to-day collaboration will include finance team members and site-level operations.. A minimum of 3 years in accounting, preferably across manufacturing or multi-entity companies. . . ERP Proficiency: . Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online; familiarity with Visual (Infor) or Evo is a strong bonus. . . Analytical Strength:. Strong Excel/Sheets fluency and comfort with investigating discrepancies and reconciling across systems. . . Inventory & Costing Knowledge:. Familiarity with manufacturing accounting, inventory movements, and gross margin analysis. . . System Agility:. Ability to navigate remote desktop tools and juggle workflows across different ERP environments. . . Attention to Detail:.
