Serve as a Network Virtualization Engineer and Developer supporting network build-outs and deployments to critical facilities.. Perform VMware system administration activities, including troubleshooting, patching, and system maintenance with minimal supervision.. Conduct vulnerability remediation and mitigation to ensure cybersecurity compliance.. Monitor systems, perform backups, application upgrades, and maintain optimal operations.. Document system changes, updates, and troubleshooting actions for historical and compliance purposes.. Advise stakeholders on system status, optimization, and improvement efforts.. Assist with deployment of new virtual machines and administration of virtualization environments.. Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.. . 10+ years of general work experience (may be reduced with advanced education).. 7+ years of directly related experience in network virtualization and VMware environments.. 1+ year of experience in a management or leadership role.. Strong expertise in Internet Protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL), firewall configuration, and multiple network types.. Deep understanding of VMware vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager operations.. Proficiency in traffic flow, logical routing, firewalling, NAT, load balancing, and micro-segmentation.. Ability to migrate virtual machines and workloads across VMware platforms.. Active or ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, etc.).. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to a HUBZone before start date.. Desired Qualifications:.
