This role is designed for a highly skilled character artist with a passion for creating visually stunning, realistic, and stylized digital characters for video games. You will work in a collaborative, creative environment alongside art directors and lead artists to produce high-quality character assets, including models, textures, shaders, and props. The position emphasizes mentoring and supporting other artists, refining workflows, and improving the character art pipeline. You will have the opportunity to experiment with new techniques, contribute to documentation, and ensure that all assets meet performance and aesthetic standards within the game engine. This role combines technical expertise, artistic talent, and collaboration to shape the visual identity of immersive gaming experiences.. . Accountabilities. . Model and texture character assets (heads, bodies, clothing, armor, and props) to the highest quality standards.. . Collaborate with art directors and lead artists to define and maintain art direction for the project.. . Mentor and support junior artists, providing guidance on workflows and asset creation.. . Integrate and review deliveries from co-development and external teams.. . Experiment with new techniques to improve visual fidelity, efficiency, and workflow.. . Ensure assets meet technical requirements and are optimized for the game engine.. . Assist in creating and maintaining documentation in Confluence or equivalent platforms.. . Participate in task management using JIRA, Flow, or similar tools.. . . Advanced proficiency with Maya or 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, and Photoshop.. . Expertise in creating realistic and stylized characters, with strong knowledge of human and animal anatomy.. . Advanced skills in PBR shader creation and complex node-based shader networks (Unreal Engine, Substance Designer, etc.).. . Experience generating normal maps from high-poly models and hair creation (card and strand-based).. . Solid foundation in organic and hard surface modeling.. . Strong traditional painting skills and the ability to adapt to various art directions.. . Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment and work collaboratively with a team.. .
