We are currently looking for a Senior/Staff Content Designer, Technical (HHS) in the United States.. This role provides the opportunity to shape user-centered content for government services, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and inclusivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design content strategies, craft UX copy, and support end-to-end service journeys. Your work will directly influence how users engage with government programs, making complex information easier to understand and navigate. The position emphasizes evidence-based decision making, user testing, and strategic thinking, while offering the flexibility to work remotely in a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on improving public outcomes.. . Accountabilities. ·         Research, write, edit, and organize content that describes government programs and initiatives clearly and accessibly.. ·         Craft UX copy, microcopy, error messaging, notifications, and in-product text for digital government applications.. ·         Develop and maintain a unified content voice and tone across services.. ·         Conduct user testing and adjust content based on feedback to improve usability and comprehension.. ·         Collaborate with product, engineering, and knowledge management teams to deliver high-quality content.. ·         Design content governance strategies and contribute to content workshops, brainstorming sessions, and strategic planning.. ·         Ensure content practices comply with standards for accessibility, inclusivity, and plain language.. . ·         Proven ability to advocate for content-driven approaches, guiding teams and stakeholders on best practices.. ·         Strategic thinking about content’s impact on user experience and business outcomes.. ·         Evidence-based approach to content design, including user testing and iterative improvement.. ·         Expertise in user-centered writing, from microcopy to defining style guidelines.. ·         Basic technical skills such as editing web content using markup languages (e.g., HTML).. ·         Experience working in professional services or client-facing environments.. ·         Passion for improving public outcomes through effective government communication.. ·         Ability to work remotely within the U.S. and travel occasionally for work.. ·         Nice-to-have: experience in civic tech, remote team collaboration, or familiarity with government digital services.. ·         Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; some roles may require public trust or security clearance.. .
