The Pega Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive test strategies for Pega applications. The role involves designing test cases, developing automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and PegaUnit, and implementing automation frameworks in Java and JavaScript to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.. Key Responsibilities. . Develop thorough test strategies and plans that address all facets of Pega applications, including functionality, security, usability, and performance. . . Design and carry out detailed test cases and scenarios, applying both manual and automated testing techniques to ensure comprehensive application validation. . . Create and maintain automated test scripts leveraging Cypress, Selenium, PegaUnit, and other relevant tools. . . Build and improve test automation frameworks using Java and JavaScript to achieve robust test coverage across application layers. . . Identify, log, and monitor defects during testing; collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues promptly. . . Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements, design tests, and provide feedback on product quality. . . Conduct performance and load testing to verify that applications meet expected traffic and usage requirements without performance degradation. . . Perform regression testing to ensure that new updates do not adversely affect existing functionality. . . Continuously seek ways to improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to elevate Pega application quality. . . Maintain accurate documentation for test cases, execution results, and defect reports. . . Required Skills & Experience. . 10+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. . . Proven expertise in QA roles with a focus on Pega applications or other BPM platforms. . . Deep understanding of Pega applications, specifically PegaRULES Process Commander (PRPC) and related testing frameworks. . . Strong automation skills with hands-on experience using Cypress and Selenium. . . Proficiency in Java and JavaScript for developing and managing automated testing frameworks. . . Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. . . Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders. . . Experience working within Agile/Scrum development processes. . . Preferred Qualifications. . Experience in the healthcare domain. . .
