As a Youtube Creative Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of creative tasks with a focus on editing long-form video content. If you’re a creative and passionate video editor who loves creating engaging content and wants to make an impact on a growing media company, we want to hear from you!. Responsibilities. . Edit raw video footage to create engaging YouTube content that aligns with existing brand identity (1 hr journalism, documentary style videos).. . Incorporate graphics, text overlays, B-roll, music, and sound effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.. . Perform colour correction and audio mixing to ensure a professional final product.. . Design high-impact, click-worthy YouTube thumbnails that accurately represent the video content and entice viewers to click.. . A/B test different thumbnail designs to optimise performance.. . Stay updated on current video trends and YouTube best practices to improve engagement.. . Edit and repurpose long-form video content into engaging short-form videos for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.. . Create simple, on-brand graphics for social media posts (e.g. announcements, quotes, snippets for static posts).. . . Proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing your work (e.g. long form YouTube video examples are highly preferred).. . Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve.. . Strong familiarity with YouTube and an understanding of how to optimise video edits and thumbnails for the platform.. . Experience in creating short-form content is an advantage.. . Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.. . Access to your own computer/laptop and a reliable internet connection.. .
