Dental Biller / AR Specialist (Orthodontics). to support a high-volume orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong senior-level background in orthodontic billing and accounts receivable, with the ability to work patient-by-patient to resolve long-standing AR balances. This role is critical to improving cash flow, correcting aging claims, and ensuring accurate insurance processing.. . Key Responsibilities:. Manage accounts receivable specifically for orthodontic patients, including overdue balances dating back to 2021. . Work patient-by-patient to identify, correct, and resolve outstanding AR. . Correct aging claims, handle resubmissions and appeals, and identify denial trends. . Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing and payment issues. . Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to billing and AR. . Maintain accurate billing records and provide AR status updates as needed. . . Insurance Verification & Authorization:. Verify orthodontic insurance benefits and coverage. . Interpret benefit breakdowns, lifetime maximums, and orthodontic payout structures. . Submit and follow up on insurance authorizations. . Apply correct orthodontic billing and treatment codes. . . At least 2 years of Dental billing experience is a must.. Orthodontic billing experience is preferred.. Experience with Dentrix.. Strong Accounts Receivable background.. High attention to detail and ability to manage long-standing AR efficiently. . Strong bilingual communication skills (verbal and written). . This is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week), with working hours from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM PST, Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $7–$8 per hour, based on experience.. .
