SMT GB is looking for a . Penta Strategic Account Manager. to lead the strategic growth of Volvo Penta’s industrial engine product range across Great Britain.. This is a pivotal role where you’ll combine commercial strategy, market insight and hands-on technical knowledge to drive both new engine sales and the long-term success of our aftermarket services. You'll work closely with OEM partners, end customers, and the Volvo Penta team to ensure industry-leading support throughout the full product lifecycle.. What You Will Be Doing:. . . Strategic Growth. : Define and execute a data-driven business strategy targeting sustainable, profitable growth across new engine sales and aftermarket solutions. Leverage market segmentation and lifecycle value analysis to prioritize high-impact opportunities.. . . Customer Engagement. : Cultivate strategic partnerships with key OEMs and end users by aligning Volvo Penta’s value proposition with customer roadmaps. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between sales, engineering, and product development teams to co-create long-term solutions.. . . Market Insight. : Conduct continuous market surveillance and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends, technology shifts, and whitespace opportunities. Translate insights into actionable commercial strategies and product positioning.. . . Sales & Marketing. : Develop and deploy targeted go-to-market plans, including account-based sales strategies and digital marketing campaigns, to accelerate customer acquisition and retention.. . . Technical Enablement & Application Engineering:. Provide technical consultation to OEMs, including installation audits, commissioning oversight, and application-specific engineering support. Understanding of Volvo Penta’s engine systems, power solutions, and aftermarket offerings.. . Ability to provide technical guidance on installation, commissioning, and application engineering.. . Familiarity with OEM integration processes and certified installation standards.. . Competence in building and maintaining high-level relationships with OEMs, dealers, and end users.. . Proven experience in account management or sales, particularly in the construction or heavy machinery sector.. . Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.. . A strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within accounts.. . Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.. . Self-motivated and results-driven with a focus on delivering high-quality service.. . Familiarity with CRM systems and tools for tracking account performance.. . A solid understanding of financial principles, driving budget management.. . A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.. .  . Desirable:. .
