Role Overview: This isn’t your typical video editing role. You will be creating meaningful, accessible, and emotionally engaging content designed specifically for an older audience. Unlike mainstream content creation that prioritises flashy trends and fast pacing, this role focuses on clarity, warmth, and familiarity. Your work will help foster connection, spark joy, and make seniors feel seen and valued.. Key Responsibilities: . . Use high-contrast visuals (e.g., yellow on blue) for readability. . Ensure large, legible fonts and generous spacing. . Use simple transitions and slow pacing. . Create friendly, conversational voiceovers (ideally with Australian accent support). . Develop content that sparks memory, joy, and connection. . Create a variety of video content tailored for seniors. . Work with both established formats and develop new creative formats. . Established formats include:. . . Guessing games and quizzes. . Nostalgia-driven visuals and reminiscing prompts. . Sing-alongs and “finish the lyrics” games. . Trivia and cognitive stimulation content. . Simple explainer and marketing videos (as needed). . . Collaborate with The SeniorsChannel team for feedback and improvements. . Conduct research to develop engaging, senior-friendly content. . Required Skills and Qualifications:. . Knowledge and experience with Video AI platforms (script-to-screen, image-to-screen, video-to-screen generation). . Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Canva, and other video creation tools. . Experience in avatar/character creation with customisation (age, facial features, style). . Skilled in voiceover functionality, ideally with age-appropriate tones and Australian accent support. . Familiarity with inclusive design features (large fonts, bright palettes, narration). . Superior attention to detail with excellent communication skills. . Strong research ability to develop meaningful content. . Creativity balanced with consistency. . Patient, open to feedback, and empathetic toward seniors. . Work Arrangement & Expectations:.
