We are actively seeking a skilled and empathetic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our expanding healthcare team. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals in a supportive environment.. Key Responsibilities:. . Perform detailed mental health assessments and formulate precise diagnostic evaluations to guide treatment planning.. . Monitor and interpret vital signs, proactively addressing emerging medical concerns and coordinating follow-up care.. . Prescribe, adjust, and manage psychiatric medications, carefully assessing efficacy and modifying treatment as needed.. . Order, review, and interpret laboratory results, ensuring meticulous documentation and follow-through.. . Engage in collaborative interactions with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to achieve holistic patient care.. . Provide thorough patient and family education regarding mental health conditions, treatment regimens, medication side effects, and adherence strategies.. . Continuously monitor patient responses to medications, identify and manage potential adverse reactions or complications, and facilitate appropriate referrals.. . Maintain comprehensive and current patient records, including medication histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.. . Manage a detailed patient schedule, including attendance tracking, billing codes, and any provider schedule changes.. . Comply with all relevant federal and state regulations concerning the prescription and management of psychiatric medications, including strict adherence to HIPAA standards.. . Opportunities for consultation with a Medical Director will be provided on a monthly basis and as needed.. . Initially, a flexible schedule is desirable due to program development, with hours expected to increase over time.. . Qualifications:. . Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Nursing.. . Active and unrestricted RN and NP licenses, along with a valid CA DEA license.. . Current Malpractice Insurance coverage.. . A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.. . Essential Skills and Knowledge:. . Extensive knowledge of psychiatric disorders, pharmacology, and evidence-based medication management practices.. . Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.. . Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.. . Sound understanding of mental health and emotional disorders.. . Additional Requirements:. . Ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.. . Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and related medical software.. .
