Business Affairs Manager - Part Time at Drake Cooper. We’re looking for a detail-driven, organized Business Affairs Manager to join Drake Cooper! If you have a strong background in advertising and love the art of negotiation, this role is for you. You’ll be the go-to person ensuring all business aspects of our ad campaigns—from legal clearances to contract negotiation—run smoothly and align with industry standards.. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to ID, WA, CA, OR, NV, MN, KS, or TX. Hourly Rate (PT) $32 - $65 . (The salary range listed for this position reflects our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The final compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, location, and market conditions.). What You’ll Do. . Manage union and non-union talent contracts, including SAG/AFTRA and overscale/celebrity/influencer agreements.. . Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, talent, and partners.. . Stay current on SAG-AFTRA regulations and ensure full compliance.. . Partner with legal counsel on production liabilities, union claims, and risk management.. . Review creative for legal clearances and licensing needs.. . Handle third-party rights for music, stock footage, props, TV/movie content, and more.. . Collaborate with producers on estimates, budgets, and job actualization.. . Create production startup docs—agreements, insurance, talent requirements, etc.. . Issue POs, manage invoices, and oversee contract renewals and amendments.. . Work closely with creative, production, account, and legal teams to ensure compliance, solve problems, and keep things moving smoothly.. . Keep up-to-date with advertising laws, regulations, and best practices.. . Help develop strategies to optimize operations and reduce risk.. . Keep a tight grip on talent, music and other stock assets usage and license renewals.. . . What You Bring. . 7+ years of experience in business affairs for advertising. . Strong knowledge of contract law, union rules, and talent management. . Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. . Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. . Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, PO systems, and Extreme Reach tools & policies. .
