Senior Clinical Informaticist . to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, the clinical informaticist will support integrated health practice agile development teams responsible for offering professional and technical health informatics (HI) solutions.  The goal is to standardize clinical workflows and processes throughout the Veteran’s Health Affairs (VHA) Enterprise. The Clinical Informaticist serves as a vital link between clinical practice and health information technology, translating clinical data across systems and collaborating with business owners, analysts, health systems specialists, and IT experts on the agile teams to deliver informed, effective healthcare solutions for the VHA Electronic Health Record. This role ensures that technology supports safe, efficient, evidence-based care while aligning with organizational goals, regulatory requirements and user needs.  . Responsibilities:. Collaborate within a cross-functional agile team—including subject matter experts (SMEs), informaticists, business analysts, and clinicians—to assess and improve clinical systems and workflows across the VA Enterprise. . Act as a SME in EHR optimization, focusing on data quality, clinical documentation, order sets, and clinical decision support tools. . Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis to translate clinical and business needs into technical specifications. . Support and deliver EHR decision tools, workflow improvement findings, service line agreements, and functional requirements documentation. . Ability to support the product owner for development projects. . Collaborate with data analysts to evaluate clinical data trends and performance metrics to recommend solutions that promote process standardization, enhance care quality, improve patient satisfaction, and reduce provider burden. . Engage with business owners, SMEs, and executive stakeholders to align priorities and communicate value-driven recommendations. . Leverage clinical and informatics expertise to streamline workflows, enhance data integration, and identify opportunities for improvement . Location: . This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.. Proven experience analyzing and interpreting clinical data, workflows, and trends using common analytical and process tools. Developing operational workflows that identify and eliminate waste, optimize processes, and improve overall efficiency. Deep understanding of clinical environments and informatics best practices for enterprise healthcare systems. . Advanced degree in a clinical or health informatics discipline (e.g., medicine, nursing, pharmacy, bioinformatics) with experience in direct patient care. . Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Clinical Informaticist on healthcare IT initiatives. . Skilled in defining and applying metrics to assess solution and product performance. . Direct experience in supporting and/or implementing electronic health record technologies (specifically Oracle Health) . Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools (Teams, Word, Forms, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) and reporting/analytics platforms. . Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. . Ability to work and remain organize within a project management environment and prioritize customer needs. . Adaptability to work in a matrixed organization. The informaticist must effectively manage input and direction from multiple leaders in a team. . Be a team player by actively collaborating with a multidisciplinary Agile team. . Preferred: . Direct experience working with Veterans Health Affairs' customers/healthcare providers . Experience in working in an Agile environment. . Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy. . Clearance requirements: . Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance . Company Location: United States.
