We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with experience using PROCAS accounting software to support our day-to-day financial operations. This position is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in government contracting accounting while contributing to a collaborative finance team.. This is a fully remote opportunity (EST) and is a 6 month contract to hire. Compensation: $28-31/hr conversion salary $55-60k/yr. Responsibilities:. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in PROCAS.. Prepare and post journal entries, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.. Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation.. Assist in the preparation of invoices and billing reports in compliance with FAR/DFARS and client contract terms.. Help maintain and reconcile project costs and indirect rate allocations using PROCAS.. Support the preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, and audit documentation.. Requirements:. 1–2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a government contracting environment.. PROCAS accounting software experience required. $28 - $31 an hour
